Original coloured pencil drawing on the highest quality Pastelmat paper

 

This drawing is a favourite of mine! I’m curious to know what the tiger was thinking at this moment. I chose to use green paper to contrast the gorgeous colours in the fur and draw the viewer into the eyes.  It was the eyes that memorised me and I felt compelled to recreate it in a drawing. Drawn from a reference photo by the talented David Whelan.
